Booking Policies

We are so excited to pamper you on your special day!

Before booking your wedding with The Glam Squad, please read our Booking Policies below.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact us so we can assist you as soon as possible.

  • When booking your wedding beauty services with Sugar and Spice, we will take a non-refundable $25.00 USD deposit (per service) booked with us.

    For example: If you book 2 hair services and 2 makeup services = 4 services total which requires a $100.00 deposit taken at the time of booking. This deposit is taken out of your final total on the day that services are rendered.

    Any individual service cancellations (hair or makeup) within 48 hours of your event date will incur a 50% charge of the full service rate.

    Any cancelations (hair or makeup) within 24 hours of your event date are charged at full service rate.

    Any cancellations of your wedding in totality forfeit your FULL deposit amount.

    If you need to cancel, adjust, change or postpone your appointment please do so in writing via email to sugarandspicesalonspa@gmail.com.

    We regret that we cannot make exceptions to our cancellation policy because we are a luxury appointment-based service and we often schedule artists and stylists especially for you and your specific time/date requests.

  • There is a four (4) service minimum for on-site services in St. Thomas.

    There is a six (6) service minimum for services on St. John, St. Croix and Water Island.

    We do offer an elopement package (inclusive of bridal hair and makeup) for Brides that don’t have a wedding party. This offering is for St. Thomas Brides only.

    Please note that there is a 25% gratuity placed on all on-location bookings. Some locations may also be subject to additional inter-island travel fees. Please read the Inter-Island Travel Policies below.

  • Typically, we have a four (4) service minimum for the Glam Squad to travel to our brides for service on St. Thomas. However, we also offer an elopement package for those brides that don’t have a bridal party or only require bridal hair and makeup for themselves. This package is only available to St. Thomas Brides. Please inquire via our ‘Contact Us’ form for additional offerings.

  • When booking nomadic/on-site services, please note that your stylist will arrive 5-15 minutes early for your booking. This will give our artists time to set up prior to your appointment time.

    We understand that timings and schedules can get turned around during celebratory events. However, if our stylists have to wait for your arrival at your location for more than 15 minutes after your scheduled start time, you will be charged additional.

    Each appointment is time sensitive and each session will be finished on time as a courtesy to you and the next client.

    Please note: There are restrictions on some travel locations. We do not service Coral Bay in St. John, some parts of the West End of St. Thomas. Please inquire if your location within the Virgin Islands or Greater Caribbean is included on our travel map.

  • Changes, additions, or adjustments to your booking must be made in writing via email at sugarandspicesalonspa@gmail.com.

    Adding additional services to your booking are subject to availability. We suggest finalizing your wedding party services a minimum of 1-2 months before your wedding date.

  • We certainly travel to all the Virgin Islands and the Greater Caribbean for wedding and event services!

    There is no travel fee for bookings on St. Thomas.

    The travel fee to St. John is $150.00 USD for round trip travel for up to (2) stylists. Each additional stylist is $100.00 USD.

    St. Croix travel is subject to current cost of round trip seaplane and taxi fare to your specified location.

    Please inquire at time of booking and more information and pricing can be provided for inter-island events.

    Please Note: There are several restrictions to some locations for travel. We do not travel to Coral Bay in St. John or some parts of the West of St. Thomas. Please inquire if your location is included on our travel map.

    Please Note: There is a 25% automatic gratuity added to all final balances regardless of location.

  • We accept the following methods of payment: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and cash payments. Unfortunately, we do not accept American Express.

    There is a 25% gratuity placed on all on-location bookings.

    Please note that we do not split services or take individual payments. One final invoice with each clients name, service, and rate will be provided to the bride. One payment method is given for the entire invoice and a receipt is emailed and/or texted to you after completion.

    This helps to eliminate miscalculations, under or overpayment.

    PLEASE NOTE: Our Rates are subject to change at our discretion. We recommend that if you are booking more than 6 months out from your wedding date, please double check our rates and pricing prior to your wedding date as the current pricing at the time of your wedding date is what will be invoiced.

  • The Glam Squad of Sugar and Spice has the ability to come to your location outside of our normal business hours to pamper and beautify you as a VIP appointment at an additional cost.

    Our normal business hours are Tuesday-Saturday 9:00am - 4:30pm. However, we do provide special time requests for sunrise/sunset brides, Holiday events, photo shoots and TV/film productions.

    Bookings that have a scheduled appointment time outside of Tuesday- Saturday or before 9:00am or after 4:30pm will incur a VIP booking fee of $75.00 USD per stylist booked.

    Holiday Bookings incur a vip rate of 150.00 per stylist.

    Including but not limited to Christmas Eve/Day, New Years Eve/Day.

    We do not offer bookings before 7:00am.

  • Unfortunately we do not provide services for Children, Flower Girls Ect. Any Hairstyling or Makeup session is charged as an adult. We suggest services for individuals over the age of 10 only and those are charged as regular sessions at full price.

  • The Virgin Islands is the #1 location for destination weddings in the Caribbean and as such we tend to get booked in quickly, especially during the months of November - July. We suggest booking your services at least 3-6 months in advance of your event to ensure availability.

  • We suggest that everyone in your party has images of their desired hair and makeup themes on hand. This ensures that your stylist can consult with your favorite looks and give advice on how to achieve and exceed your expectations. Our instagram is a great reference for hair and makeup looks as well as Pinterest and Google.

    Please have your hair washed the day before with minimal product. Your stylist will asses what products are needed to create your desired styling and ensure its’ lasting in our tropical climate.

    We suggest wearing loose, easy to remove clothing to your appointment so that you can easily slip out of your getting ready garments and into your event attire.

    We suggest confirming the amount of hair and makeup services with your bridal party at least one month prior to your event to avoid any cancelation fees the week or day of the wedding.

    We suggest copious amounts of laughter, excitement and bliss. This is your day and it is PERFECT!

  • A clean face devoid of makeup (moisturizers/sunscreen are fine) and hair that is washed and dried from the day before is best. While hair should be clean, it is best to not wash your hair the morning of your service. If you do have freshly washed/wet hair when your stylist arrives for an on-site appointment, there will be a charge for blow out service based on the length and texture of your hair.

  • Certainly! We have a dedicated Glam Squad that can accomodate large events, weddings, photoshoots and more. Please note, our services are based on availability. To ensure that you’re booking is completely accommodated, be sure to book in with us at least 3-6 months in advance of your scheduled event.

  • Absolutely!

    We offer hair and makeup packages that can be utilized as a trial run for your special day. Please see Elopement packages and Trial Run packages on our Sessions and Rates page. These packages are booked as a single bridal package of both hair and makeup services and offered on-site in St. Thomas and St. John only. Unfortunately, we do not offer this package on St. Croix.

    Additionally, We certainly try our best to ensure that the same stylist who prides your trial run is the same stylist scheduled on your wedding day. However, we are unable to offer any guarantee of this scheduling sequence due to advance bookings, staff scheduling and vacations times. Thank you for understanding.

  • Hairstyling and Makeup Artistry. Inquire for specific services for large groups such as massage therapy and spray tans.

  • We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, travelers checks and cash.

    We do not accept American Express or split payments. All balances must be paid in full at end of service.

  • Yes, We certainly do! The Glam Squad will travel virtually anywhere to pamper and beautify clients. There is no travel fee for service on St. Thomas however, travel costs are added to your total for travel to St. John, St. Croix, Water Island and the BVI.

    Please note: There are restrictions on some travel locations. We do not service some parts of the West End of St. Thomas and Coral Bay on St. John. Please inquire if your location within the Virgin Islands or Greater Caribbean is included on our travel map.

    25% gratuity is added to all final invoices.

  • We recommend that you exfoliate, wax or shave the day before. We recommend you wear loose dark clothing for your tan session. The tan will last for about 5-7 days if properly cared for (ie moisturizing daily, patting skin dry after bath/shower etc..) We would also advise to have the tan 1-2 days before your special occasion. We can tailor each spray tan to your specific needs.
